Dear Doctor, I am a 30-year-old healthy woman. My concern is that as a child I learnt to satisfy myself by pressing/rubbing my clitoris against the corner of tables/desks, etc., a habit which continued right up till adulthood. Now my concern is since my clitoris has been pushed inside to quite a great extent, is there a way to reverse the damage? If yes, how expensive would be the procedure? What is the best way to masturbate? Awaiting your kind guidance. Thanks in advance. I would request you not to continue with this behaviour pattern and to choose another way to achieve climax. The clitoris is a very delicate organ and can get severely damaged. The nerve endings may get cut off as well. If the nerves are cut, the pleasure sensations go away forever and it then is impossible to achieve a physiological orgasm. Also, there is no procedure to reverse damage to the clitoris. I would suggest you meet a sexologist for a checkup. Different strokes for different folks! There is no one way to self stimulate. However, safety is first so always be safe and hygiene conscious while self-stimulation. Vibrators are usually safe. Always buy a good quality one from a branded company. My only advice as a doctor too young ladies is to play it safe. Fantasise, it’s absolutely harmless. Be hygienic while handling your privates, Keep your nails trimmed and clean. Sterilise your vibrators before and after use. Do not use any unsafe and unhygienic ways to self stimulate. Keep it clean and simple. Take care and all the very best for you. Sharmila
